THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE WE HAD ALL THE RECALLS ON OUR FOOD.

   Here at THE DAM RANCH we care for cattle the old fashion way,all natural.We do not use steroids, implants, growth hormones, fly spray, meds or anything that would be unnatural to a cow in the old days.

   By ordering with the co-op you are actually purchasing a portion of a live cow with several other members. You do not have to find the other people to share the cow with. That's our job. We provide the cow and the other members to share it with plus we do all the work.All you have to do is pick up your meat and eat healthy and enjoy. When the cow is ready for the butcher we transport to a USDA inspected plant for processing.

   All our beef is dry aged for flavor and tenderness. The butcher determines the length of time for that process....he is the expert, usually dry aging time will run from 14 days to 21 days depending on the animal. After the dry aging is complete all meat is butchered into the all the cuts, then double wrapped and marked. Then the meat is frozen properly for pick up. After the meat is completly frozen we pick the meat back up and store in our freezer at the ranch for you to pick up.

   When you are ready to order beef or pork and you have made your decision on what quanity you would like we will require a $10.00 deposit on that order. We can give you an approximate date on when it will be ready to pick up depending on the dry aging process. After we have received your deposit you will receive a receipt and contract for the ownership of that animal..you have no liability being a part owner in the cow or pig except to pick up your meat when it is ready.
